WOW-Uncensored Voices —Thursday at 7:00pm PWYC, Friday at 7pm & Saturday at 1:00pm

On Thursday, April 30, Women of Wolfville (WOW) will take to the stage at the Al Whittle Theatre for three powerful performances of their newest production, Uncensored Voices

Tickets $15 in advance at EOS Fine Foods or at the door if available.

Funds raised from this year’s performance will support three impactful charities:
1- the beloved Wolfville Memorial Library, ensuring it can continue serving the community during a time of financial pressure;
2 - Frugal Moms, who help individuals and families live well with less; and
3 - Dense Breasts Canada (DBC), champions of awareness and advocacy for better breast cancer screening in Nova Scotia.

In past years, support came primarily through advertising sales.
This year, WOW is opening the door wider, inviting the entire community to be part of bringing this production to life. Every contribution matters. No donation is too small, and all sponsors—unless they prefer to remain anonymous—will be acknowledged during the performances. Sponsorship helps cover the costs of staging the show—lighting, sound, sets, and production expenses and any funds raised beyond those costs will go directly to support our charities.

When community voices come together, powerful things happen.Join WOW in helping bring Uncensored Voices to the stage.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream —Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm (Thursday May 28 7:00pm-PWYC)

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Step into a world where logic dissolves and reality flickers at the edges with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, presented by Wolfville Social Club.

This reimagined production transforms Shakespeare’s familiar tale into something uncanny and immersive. What begins as a story of lovers’ quarrels quickly unravels into a disorienting landscape where identities shift, power dynamics blur, and the line between fantasy and reality disappears. Like wandering too far into the woods—or stepping through a looking glass—the world reshapes itself, leaving characters grasping for certainty in a place governed by unseen forces.

Featuring gender-swapped roles, the production offers a fluid and dynamic exploration of affection, jealousy, and ambition. Relationships evolve in real time, challenging assumptions about authority and identity while inviting audiences to see the story from unexpected perspectives.

Directed by Jim Hill, the production balances surreal transformation with emotional immediacy, grounding its strangeness in deeply human connection. An intimate staging draws audiences close to the action, while design elements create a living, breathing world where magic seeps in quietly before taking full hold.

Following acclaimed productions like The Rocky Horror Show and a midwinter festival of one-act plays, Wolfville Social Club continues its commitment to bold, inclusive, and community-driven theatre. This Midsummer Night’s Dream embraces contradiction—playful yet disquieting, familiar yet strange—and lingers like a dream that resists easy interpretation.

Tickets: $25 in advance, $30 at the door

Swan Lake— 7:00pm

Valley Drama School presents the story behind the famous ballet in this theatrical adaptation!

Join Valley Drama School for an evening of magic, comedy and adventure (complete with an evil sorcerer and swan princesses) perfect for families!

More about the story of Swan Lake: The law of the land says that Prince Siegfried must chose a bride by the end of his twenty-first birthday, but the princesses assembled by the queen and Lord Chamberlain just won’t do! So Siegfried escapes later that evening for a quick hunting expedition into the woods, where he nearly shoots at what turns out to be his one true love, Odette. Unfortunately for her and Siegfried, Odette is under a spell of evil sorcerer Von Rothbart and is doomed to spend her days as a swan, taking her human form only at night. It’s all part of the master plan for Von Rothbart, who will stop at nothing to gain power over the kingdom — including using his daughter Odile to trick Siegfried and capture the throne. Luckily, just when it looks as though Von Rothbart will have his way, true love prevails.

A Little Bit Much

with Chela Davison

A one-woman show about becoming. And being unbecoming. Chela Davison dishes the dirt about a life filled with ideas, jokes, sex, drugs, travel, hairdressing, dating, marriage, kids, coaching and relentless personal growth. Shaking her fist at the excruciating and unwinnable game of “having it all” and “being somebody”, this is for anyone – particularly any woman – who’s been told they’re “a little bit much”. The Rocky Horror Show — Thursday & Friday 7:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm & 11:00pm

Please Note: Low Sensory Shows are Saturdays at 2:00PM

Brave enough to come up to the lab...? Join us for 11:00PM showtimes on Oct 11th and Oct 18th for a very special time...

After becoming engaged, straight-laced couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss set out to visit their old friend and former professor. En route, a heavy storm leads them to the doors of the secluded and mysterious castle of eccentric scientist Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter, where they meet his servants and bear witness to his latest experiment. What ensues is a night of pleasure, horror and discovery that will force Brad and Janet to question everything they know.

“Audiences are going to fall in love with the chaos, the camp, the music—and hopefully themselves a little, too,” says Linda Levy Fisk, Co-Director.

Premiering exactly 50 years after the 1975 film, this live-stage rock-musical production honours the original’s defiant spirit. Rocky Horror broke taboos around gender, sexuality, and performance—becoming a cult refuge for outsiders and queer communities for generations. Now, in rural Nova Scotia, queer culture continues to evolve and invite everyone to participate, in direct opposition to growing global tensions, making this production more vital than ever.

“This was the show that made me feel seen as a teenager,” says performer Adrien Lewis, “To be in this show—here in Wolfville—is a full-circle moment.”

After producing LOVE LETTERS in fall 2024 and KRAPP’S LAST TAPE in Spring 2025, this rendition of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW marks the largest live production of the show in the Annapolis Valley's history - and the first musical produced by Jeremy Banks. It could not have even been considered without the incredible support of audiences, backstage team, and the donated time of incredible theatre talent on stage.

“This isn’t just a musical,” says producer Jeremy Banks. “It’s a celebration of difference and a challenge to the norm. In our version, we’re breaking audience expectations even more than the original—featuring a trans performer in a lead role, gender-bending casting, and a renewed focus on joy, risk, and transformation. It’s everything Rocky Horror should be— absolutely unforgettable.”

Krapp's Last Tape - A Ray Baltzer Solo Show

Krapp's Last Tape - A Ray Baltzer Solo Show

by Samual Beckett, featuring Ray Baltzer, and directed by Jeremy Banks

He's like a grumpy old man arguing with his own audio ghost, and the whole thing is both hilarious, absurd and surprisingly poignant

On his 69th birthday, Krapp, a man who seems to have spent his life obsessed with self-recording, decides to re-listen to a tape from his younger self. This tape features his 39-year-old self, who is, in turn, listening to a tape from his early 20s. It's a story of memory gone awry, mostly featuring a mix of disdain, morbid humor, and a banana.

A Christmas Carol & Holiday Party— 7:30pm

Valley Drama School’s Senior Acting Students present two one-act plays:

A Christmas Carol

Holiday Party

Valley Drama School’s Senior Acting students present a festive evening at the theatre! Join us at the Al Whittle for two one-act plays to celebrate the holiday season. The show is suitable for families and people of all ages.

In his classic, A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens narrates Ebenezer Scrooge's magical night’s journey as he visits his past, present, and future before discovering life's true gifts.

Act two will feature Holiday Party, a sweet & festive comedy. Evelyn’s annual holiday party is always warm, welcoming, and full of surprises. You might meet a pair of wallflowers finding connection in the corner, a pair of elves whose friendship is devolving into bitter rivalry, or a couple sharing a guest room with their host’s improbable menagerie of pets. With plenty of laughter, love, and holiday cheer, there is something for everyone!

We invite you to this very special December evening, to enjoy live theatre with your family or friends, and to celebrate the holidays with us. Tickets available at the door!

Ticket $20 ($15 students).

Tickets only available at the door before each show.
