On his 69th birthday, Krapp, a man who seems to have spent his life obsessed with self-recording, decides to re-listen to a tape from his younger self. This tape features his 39-year-old self, who is, in turn, listening to a tape from his early 20s. It's a story of memory gone awry, mostly featuring a mix of disdain, morbid humor, and a banana.
