Winners for Whitflix The Short Film Festival Announced

 Al Whittle Theatre and Ross Creek Centre for the Arts announced the winners for this year’s Whitflix: The Short Film Festival, which challenges participants to craft a short film (under 5 minutes).

The winners for this year were Ian and Sam Pearce for their film The Floogenstein Heist (8-13 category), Finn Paster for his film Lentil Soup (14-18 category), and Six Feet Over (19+ category) by Nancy Kenny.

Films have been judged by a joint programming committee appointed by Al Whittle Theatre and Ross Creek Centre for the Arts. The judges for 2025 were Reid Price, actor known for Sullivan’s Crossing; Dawn, Her Dad & the Tractor; and FROM, Katelyn McCullough, actor, writer, and director known for Everybody Loves Meg, and Tara Taylor, writer/director and culture columnist for CBC.
