Acadia Cinema Cooperative AGM
The Acadia Cinema Co-op's Annual General Meeting will take place Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Al Whittle Theatre. We invite all ACC shareholders to join members of the board for a review of the past year's activities and looking forward to our goals for the year ahead. More details, along with meeting documentation, will be sent at a later date.
Wine and light refreshments will be served.
Call for Directors
We have big plans for the future and need passionate people who love Wolfville, community, and the arts to join our board. The specific responsibilities of a Director on the Board of the ACC include the following:
To abide by the By-laws and the Governance Manual;
To co-operate with the other Directors in achieving the objectives of the ACC, and to keep those objectives in line with the needs of the Wolfville and Area community;
To regularly attend meetings of the Board;
To serve on one or more of the Standing Committees/Sub-Committees of the ACC;
To assist in developing policies, manage programs and business plans for the ACC;
To focus on the good of the Cooperative as a whole in so doing;
To ensure that the ACC’s internal control and management information systems are in good working order;
To assist the Board in effectively communicating with the Members of the Cooperative, other stakeholders, and the community at large;
To provide the Chair with feedback on theatre operations and other initiatives of the Cooperative;
To support decisions of the Board, even if one disagrees with them;
To assist on various and sundry projects, if feasible, when asked by the Chair.

We invite all ACC shareholders to join members of the board for a review of the past year's activities, as well as a preview as to what's ahead.

Join us for a meeting of Shareholders on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 7 pm, at the Al Whittle Theatre, where you will be provided with an opportunity to discuss, and vote on, the Board of Directors’ proposed 5-Year Action Plan for the Co-operative - a plan that, the Board believes, will secure the Al Whittlle Theatre’s future as a thriving hub for film, arts, culture and creative expression.
This meeting is open to the general public. Only ACC shareholders (members) will be eligible to vote.
