How to Win FREE MOVIES in 2026

Purchase a share between Saturday, November 1st, 2025 and Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 (inclusive) will receive one (1) entry to win a pass to see any of the films presented by the ACC (typically Sundays and every second Wednesday) at the Al Whittle Theatre* in the year 2026. The more shares you buy, the more proceeds go directly to the continuation of the ACC and the growth of our spaces, and the more chances you have to win!

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: All shares purchased before December 1st will count for two (2) entries into the draw.

HIGH FIVE BONUS: For every five (5) shares you purchase, you’ll get an extra entry into the draw. Buy four shares, get four entries. By five shares, get six entries. Ten? That’s 12 entries closer to a whole year of free movies.

*The prize excludes films presented by other organizations at Al Whittle Theatre.

*The prize is non-transferrable. Free movies for a year will be granted to the individual whose name is attached to the share purchased and drawn.

Why should I be a shareholder?

The Acadia Cinema Cooperative (ACC) is a Wolfville-based co-op that oversees the operation of the Al Whittle Theatre. Share purchases always go toward supporting capital projects.

The shares are sold and managed by the co-op, and as such there is no monetary return on an investment like there may be with shares owned in a publicly-traded and for-profit company. Instead, all income from our ACC shares benefit the collective directly, allowing us to be owned by and operated for our community. Buying a share in the ACC makes you a voting member of the Acadia Cinema Co-op.
